The Power of Journaling
Oct 04, 2023I have always been a "words" girly. I used to express my emotions to friends and family through words. I used to grapple with unanswered questions through writing. And I keep and treasure any meaningful letters, emails and cards in safe keeping so I can go back and read how much I meant to someone. I love words and I love journaling. BUT... 5 kids and a growing business can take away so much of my time and energy, making it difficult doing something I have always enjoyed. The truth is we live in a distracted world. A screen is constantly bidding for our attention, a child is always needing connection, a dog is always needing walking, and the constant noise of modern life makes it difficult to slow down and center our thoughts. The simple act of journaling may seem quaint and old-fashioned but will aid in the act of centering our minds and hearts. It's precisely in this age of rapid change and information overload that journaling holds even greater importance. Here are some benefits of
